My name is Rachel Leite. I am American, but have lived a great deal of my life overseas. I am multi-lingual and have a multi-cultural family. I have composed 50+ original vocal pieces as well as recorded 2 of my own CDs. I have translated complete musicals and earned my keep from various gigs around the world. As a performer, I have toured and seen various aspects of performance from small country churches to filled soccer stadiums. I have also counseled and directed other performers. I have a BME in Choral Music and have been coaching voice for over 10 years. During that time, I have worked in public schools, international schools and music academies. However, my real passion in music is met through the countless private vocal students I have taught over the years. Children, teens, and adults of all ages have come to me with their vocal woes and singing dreams. My students range in all types of styles and levels. Many have already or are presently recording, attaining musical status in higher education as well as bringing their talents to their daily lives. I have always had a very distinctive style of teaching: professional lessons on a personal level. In other words, I get to know each of my students as we build friendships together and based on their needs and stylistic taste. I do not teach from a "box format" - I am concerned with the individual and their particular needs. I prepare each lesson separately with the students' success in mind for reaching their goals. I also help my students with co-composing, recording studio vocal production and performance preparation. If you are a beginner, need a change, are looking for some exercises or techniques, or just have a question or two - you are more than invited to become one of my students. Keep on singing!
